Initially call with director of the department, a few basic questions to make sure you’re not totally green and then a more thorough dive into your experience etc.
Second call was roughly 45 minutes, more or less the same as the first call, but what really pissed me off was the feedback I received. I was told that I said I would “call out members or teams”, which was an absolute lie.
I’m not even sure where the guy got that from? Was it when I said that I think “devops” means having developers take responsibility for their environments and deployments? Worst part is that I literally spoke with the director and asked him point blank about how they handle blameless post mortems….oh well I guess?
