Some time ago I made it deep into the interview process with Far Harbor. The company is small and does some interesting and exciting work, yet ultimately I decided to exit the process due to some concerns. The owner seems very set in his approach for micromanaging and adjusting others around him and these microaggressions in language and action seemed, to me, to be a red flag for the kind of environment I likely would endure there if I accepted a role. The team seems talented and they have a pollished website and work, so I was disappointed to have to exit when I was asked so many intrusive, paternalistic personal questions and felt stifled in the way that he did not invite certain kinds of discussions about the work. Otherwise the process was smooth and professional.
