My first one on one was with the HR executive who interviewed me regarding my background, described the job to me and negotiated the salary. This was really good as I proceeded forthe interview with the right expectations. Thereafter, was the aptitude consisting of reasoning and mathematical questions. The test also included a letter writing section. Based on the marks scored, candidates were asked to stay for the next round, with the quality manager. The Quality Manager kept us at ease, had a light talk and made us write an essay within 5 minutes, right in front of him. He gave his feedback and asked to come for the next round of interview, the following day.
The next day, selected candidates were given a typing test. Those scoring more that 85% were cleared for the next round. There was another written test which asked very simple questions like, "Who is your favorite actor and why?", "Which is your favorite color and why?" etc. These rounds were for testing the writing skills as the position was for email support.
Subsequently, I had one on one interviews with the trainer, manager of email support team and the AVP of the email support team. The experience with all three of them was pleasant. There was never a tense moment. They mainly interviewed me to check for the personality.
What made my experience during interview even more better, was the encouragement I received from the then strangers, the members of flipkart family. The times when I was waiting for my turn for the rounds of interview, the team members came and spoke to me, told me many good things about the company and other things. On the whole my interview experience at Flipkart was unforgettable.
