Interview
First stage was to create a video submission answering several questions. Immediately after submission, a second stage email came through requesting completion of 2 scenario based questions - the format of presentation, recorded or pdf and expected time to complete around 1hr.
After submission, a templated email was received with no feedback stating they will not be progressing further.
No human interaction throughout the process - opportunity to improve.
2+ hours of effort, good faith to progress without any human interaction and a generic templated
‘Not proceeding’ email received. I’m all for optimising processes but sadly this is an example of how not to do it. Whilst no feedback from the hiring manager initially, the CEO was receptive to this experience not feeling right. Later, hiring manager shared feedback and highlighted salary request above their range - opportunity to improve and discuss with candidate before taking time to perform assessment.

Interview
-15 minute screening call with HR
- 2 scenarios which involved creating slide decks with multiple information and data analysis on them
- Video call with COO ( who was late and then told me he only had 25 instead of 45 mins due to another meeting”
I was informed on the call with the COO that I was through to the next round and he would send me the details across later that day. I received nothing so after 48 hours I followed up, I heard nothing again so I emailed the HR lady, again nothing.
Unbelievably poor behaviour from a COO and HR. They’re certainly not a company I would wish to work for. It would appear I had a lucky escape
