I applied online. I interviewed at FocalPoint in Nov 2024
Interview
I applied after seeing the "job description" for an Executive Talent and Culture Coach and using EasyApply via LinkedIn (I also then had a recruiter reach out using the same verbiage as in the posting).
I use "job description" in quotes because it comes across like a real internal position but it's really a covert marketing ad to get you to buy into a coaching franchise (they use phrases like "reports directly to the CEO", "foster a thriving and dynamic company culture across partnered organizations", and have a list of qualifications). I then completed a brief CEO and VP Coach Assessment, designed to give a general overview of your coaching approach and compare yourself against successful coaches within FocalPoint. They then promise to fast-track a discussion with a team member if you score highly on the assessment, which I did.
The "interview" call is really just a ploy to have you buy into a franchise coaching opportunity. It is all misleading and shady and was a huge waste of my time. It's even more disturbing considering it's under the umbrella of a well-known author, who is supposed to be leader in the field of personal, leadership, and business development.

Question 1
(after describing franchise opportunity): Are you interested in scheduling a call with one of our coaches to learn more?
I did the first initial screening with them and then a few personality assessments, then received an email that I would be proceeding to the next steps in the hiring process. This is where I booked a second interview. I then received a rejection before even doing that second interview. It seems as if their records are a mess.
