Through our few meetings, Fonbnk: - Forced me to do a test project despite demonstrating an extensive portfolio, told me they would pay me for my time, and then withdrew payment afterward because I rejected their offer - Sent me an offer letter with no information about the token compensation, putting the burden on me to ask specific questions about what they were offering - Went from saying "we won't own you" to "your vesting schedule would mean losing vested tokens if you stop working for the community after leaving fonbnk" - Quoted the token compensation to seem like it was 667% higher than it really was. When I confronted them about this, they said "we're sorry you interpreted it that way" - Negotiated me down on information that they knew was misleading, and didn't find it necessary to tell me the truth until I asked. - Rejected my requests for them to provide clarity on the terms of the token compensation they were offering. All in all a great place, if you don't mind waking up to having your compensation ripped out from underneath you because the founders deem you aren't doing enough. Be sure not to ask them to tell you what you'll have to do to keep your tokens. They'll say you're not a good fit for the company, reject you after you walked away, and not pay you for the work they said they would pay you for.
