Terrible candidate experience. If a candidate is screened out please have the common decency to contact the candidate to let them know the status of employment. This company also seems to have terrible communication skills.

    Interview

Recruiter asked for time slot for coding challenge via Hackerrank. Set up a time and date. Recruiter was very nice and commented on uniqueness of my resume. Was expecting an over the phone challenge (via Hackerrank) but completed it alone.

    Interview

Begin with an online assignment, and one phone interview. But for the second round, the interviewer did not call me on scheduled time twice. Recruiter did not response my email. Worst interview experience I've had.

They give you code challenge. Seems like after this, they offer you deeper interview. I am not going to write down what the questions were. But, it is doable if you are familiar with Java.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at ForUsAll (San Francisco, CA) in April 2018.

    Interview

I had an excellent interview process with ForUsAll. I was impressed by how much they cared about the team they were building, and how thoughtful their interview questions were.

The entire process, from application to offer, took just over a month to complete. It started with two initial screens. First, there was a phone call with the head of people to discuss the position in general. After the call, I was given a short assignment on 401(k) tests to discuss on my second screen, a video call with the hiring manager. There was a small glitch with the video call-- I didn't receive a call at the scheduled time. However, I reached out to the recruiting coordinator over email after 10 minutes, and he informed me that a meeting was running over on their end and immediately worked with me to reschedule. The rescheduled call went off without a hitch. We went over the assignment, and talked about the role and my background.

After the two phone screens, I was invited onsite to interview in person with the hiring manager again, a product manager, and the VP of client services & product. Each had a different approach to the interview. I was able to talk to them about their current tools and processes, problems the company was working on solving, and the business strategy. They asked me about my domain knowledge, technical knowledge, and personal experience.

Finally, I was invited onsite to interview with the CEO. Most of what we discussed during this round were general questions about where I studied, what my background was, etc. The questions were really about personality and motivation. I felt like he was really considering whether my personality and attitude towards work would be a fit for the company. He struck me as an incredibly smart, but also humble, leader.

Overall, I was so happy about the amount of thought that ForUsAll put into their interview process. I felt like each person I interviewed with was trying to get to know me, not just going through the motions with standard questions. The recruiting coordinator told me they were working on their processes, and I think they have succeeded-- I knew at every step of the way what was coming next, and every person I met treated me with respect and kindness. I declined their offer for personal reasons, but this was one of the best interview processes I've ever gone through.

    Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at ForUsAll.

    Interview

I scheduled a phone interview which was rescheduled by them twice. The phone screen interview went as follows, received the call from the person overseeing the department. They set the agenda for the interview they would introduce themselves, tell me what they do and how, they would explain the job description/expectations, give me time to introduce myself, they would give me time to answer some key questions and then time left for any additional questions I would have. Seemed fair and professional but they didn't stick to their agenda they told me what they did and their title, then went straight to asking me tell me about a time questions. Seemed very disorganized in the sense that they didn't ask me about what I did in my current role, why I wanted to do this job, etc etc. I don't know how they screen candidates with: well this is what I do, this is what the job is, tell me about a time.. ok thank you!?! What?
