Forestry England interview questions

Interview was fine. I knew I wasn't right for the role, nor it for me, but it was a positive experience. I was contacted afterwards to advise that I hadn't got the job but had interviewed really well and was I interested in another, similar but non-finance role? I said yes and was told that an interview was unnecessary as the one I'd just attended evidenced that I was clearly employable. A role was described to me and I was interested, I was then contacted after some back and forth and told that the post under discussion had changed and I'd now need to interview. I was offered another job in the meantime so declined. All very odd and not particularly fair.
