The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Freenome (New York, NY)
Interview
A general HR phone screen followed by another phone interview focused on research. I was interviewed for the computational biologist position. However, the entire interview was not about bioinformatics at all. I didn't receive a single bioinformatics question. All the questions were about wet lab research, their products and the biological principles behind their products. One week later, I got a rejection letter saying I was not a good fit for the position. Of course, a basketball coach is not a good fit for a football team.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Freenome
Interview
First HR call, then chat with a team member instead of the manager. Most question received from both are about my technical backgrounds. HR was very great with quick turnaround time, and ultimately they had a candidate who fits the profile better. Didn’t move forward to panel interview.

Interview
The first steps was an interview with the company recruiter over the phone, and then I had an interview with the person in charge of the department over the phone. I did not move forward after this process, so I am not sure the next steps.
