I applied through other source. I interviewed at GAL Power (Mississauga, ON) in Mar 2017
Interview
I have been fortunate and worked with some really well run companies, so my interview with this company was a bit of a contrast. HR came prepared for the interview and they asked good, probing type of questions. I thought she did a very good job and most of the interview was between the HR rep and myself as the Service "Manager" sat there like a deer in the headlights. He had done no prep work, didn't really ask a question, clearly had no good interview experience/training and seemed out of his league. If I am interviewing you, I know a whole about you before you arrive and am prepared to dive into your work history with you. They described conflict with some of the people on the team and I am not surprised given the lack of skill and leadership that's obviously present here. Unfortunately, sometimes you do an interview and realize the person that's interviewing you (i.e. Service Manager) should be reporting to you. In this case, there would be a whole lot of coaching I would need to do to get this guy up to speed.
