I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at GE in Feb 2015
Interview
After my online application, I was asked to complete an online test. This consisted of clips where you watch a situation unfold and then answer how you would react - it was pretty easy. Once I passed that, I was offered a phone interview which lasted about 20 minutes. At the end of this, they told me they would get back to me within 5 days, but it took them a month to reject my application, and they gave no feedback as to why.
Tell me about a situation in which you were facing something completely new, or you had to learn something, and there was shortage of time. What was the outcome of this/what did you learn?

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GE (Campus) in Jan 2016
Interview
I spoke with a recruiter at my school's career fair talked a lot about the research I was doing on campus, I left the table, then when I walked by again I was handed a card and told to meet for an interview the next day.
The next day's interview was solely behavioral. The interviewer was an alumni from the same school so I was able to make references to activities on campus which he understood.
After my interview I was contacted within 7 days that I had a second round phone interview. This interview was incredibly laid back and I was allowed to talk about my interests and where they might fit in with the things GE does. At the end of the interview I was informally told I got an offer and 1 week later I received the paper work.
