I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Gaggle in Dec 2022
Very comfortable and conversational. Very friendly. Very open and honest. Could tell they were passionate about the company and its mission. Some thought provoking questions. Some typical questions. Overall, a solid interview.
- What do you know about Gaggle?

The process was pretty straight forward. Met with the key people involved and had the opportunity to ask the questions I had. Felt like it was an adequate process. Was asked appropriate questions for the position I applied to.
- What is one of your strengths?

Thorough interview process. they really care about hiring someone who is the right fit for the job and team. Great management that conducted several interviews at different levels of management
- What is your experience related to this position?

I applied online. I interviewed at Gaggle in Feb 2021
The first interview was basically telling about why I was interested in the position and to learn about the company. It was with a guy currently in the position. I really enjoyed this conversation. Then... there was a 2 hour interview with the Senior Account Executive and Vice President of Operations. During this time, I was asked to "go down memory lane" with every job that I had on my resume. Seemed strange to me as I have a list of references and felt like Gaggle could contact each company or district that I have ever worked for to get the information they needed. I haven't spoken to some of my managers in years and many of them no longer work for the districts or companies at which I was employed. It was also hard to find 2 hours to set aside while employed. I talked to an old colleague who interviewed with a competing company that also handles school safety (access to sensitive situations and information like Gaggle). They shared that the process was not invasive.
- 1st interview- Why are you interested in this position? 2nd interview- I was asked to talk about each job I had in depth and to give the name of the managers.

There were multiple stages of the intervju, first you got to have a friendly talk with one of the higher ups and the second and third stage was talking to recruitment manager. The fourth and final stage was about discussing the job offer.
- What will you bring to the company?

I applied online. I interviewed at Gaggle in Oct 2020
The first two interviews were easy and I felt very happy about them. Good people, good culture, great ideas being exchanged. Bait and switch. I then got to the final stage, where I had a hiring manager ask me more extremely specific questions than I had ever been asked before. Usually there are three stages to corporate interviews, the first is a basic screening and culture fit. The second is a technical interview to see if you have the right chops for the gig. The third is usually just a culture fit and signoff. Not the case here. This guy wanted to know who every single boss of mine was for the last -decade-, exactly which clients I worked with, what everyone would say about me now when I worked with them years and years ago, what specific numbers would they rate me. It was non stop and super assertive. I don't mind providing references (that I choose!) as, say, the final cap of an offer letter (and even that, as a technical worker I've only had that maybe once? in my career), but this information hunt was way too much and showed a huge lack of respect for the interviewee. Not only that, but this guy is wasting immense amounts of company time by doing this. There's no business decision that could be made with such incessant privacy invasion that couldn't be otherwise determined in a friendly, way more industry-standard interview process. After two and a half hours (!!!) of question after question, this guy STILL wanted names and phone numbers of every single manager I've had. At that point I was like, wait, this can't be normal. But sure enough, Glassdoor had all these other comments and I sure wish I had looked here first. While I was here I noticed Gaggle is pretty abusive toward their lower rank employees. There are things happening in these comments that should never happen in a tech company and the responses from Gaggle shows insensitivity and even brazen aggression toward them. You can treat your developers like they're gods but if the rest of the staff is treated like slaves, you're not doing well as a company. I chose to "nope" right out of it and they didn't even bother responding.
- Names and phone numbers for your last decade's worth of managers.

You take a brief test reviewing their policies. They also ask about availability and other standard questions. You don't even have to submit a resume at all. Also, you need to pass a background check.
- Are you available to work 10 hours a week?

Anonymous Interview Candidate
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Gaggle
Two preliminary web conference interviews before a final 4-hour web conference interview with the same person walking through my background from what felt like birth to the present day. It felt more like an interrogation than an interview and afterward, I felt like it was very intrusive. I was asked to provide answers to questions like why I chose my field of study in college to how I handled situations from a decade ago. I’ve gone through 4-hour panel interviews in the past, no problem, but this I’d never do again! Afterward, I felt that I didn’t want to work for a firm that needed to know that many intricate details about me before making a decision. I wasn’t offered the role but only found out because I inquired about the status. After such a violation, I expected someone to have at least extended the courtesy of reaching out and letting me know.
- Why did you select your major in college?

Anonymous Interview Candidate
I interviewed at Gaggle
There wasn't an actual "interview". I applied for the position online and received an email stating I was added to a "waiting list". A few weeks later I was invited to start working as a "Level 1 Student Safety Representative". The pay is extremely low (and it's contract work- so big picture you are looking at MAYBE $7.00 per hour in your pocket). Also, I asked what are the chances of a Level 1 becoming a Level 2 (which is considered an actual employee) and this was the response I received "The Level 1 position is contractual while the Level 2 position is employment through the company. We do require all of our Level 2's to be local and work in the office. Therefore, we usually do not have Level 1's become Level 2's. " So, no potential for growth.
- There were no questions. No interview. Just some emails explaining how everything works.

I had a phone interview and a Skype interview. They were both pretty average, but both my contacts just entirely stopped communicating with me — no feedback, no response at all. It was really, really off-putting — I think that kind of behavior casts a poor light on Gaggle’s recruiting/hiring process.
