I applied online. I interviewed at General Motors (GM) (Atlanta, GA) in Mar 2021
Interview
1) HireVue interview which includes recording yourself answering sample interview questions. (Given a practice round, then is given extra time to give a though-out answer)
2) Was sent another HireVue interview, this time answer coding challenges which can be tricky but not overly hard. Use critical thinking and research your wrong answer.
3) 10-15 min phone screen with a manager going over my background, education, and any past experience I had pertaining to the job I applied for.
4) 2 hr video interview with established managers in the company that tested my behavior. This time using the STAR method to answer the questions. Also helped to talk about any software I've used in the past. Could be as simple as using Microsoft Excel to import data to describing a coding exercise you did in university or anywhere in life.
5) Recieve a phone call from a software developer from GM telling me that I have been selected for a position and I should expect an offer from HR by the end of the following week.
Overall the process took around 4 weeks, still waiting on the call/email from HR, however, it's only been a couple of days since the phone call.

Interview
Assessment was quick, but not the most easy assessment. To some it may be easier, but more for a more developed coder. It certainly was not an entry level assessment. Though, it does let you choose the language you would like to complete it in.

It was a technical hirevue assessment. I was given two basic parsing math problems to finish in 60 minutes. 30 minutes each in any language you want. There is no interviewer, just you solve it.
