      Sales Development Representative Interview

      Jul 28, 2015
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Los Angeles, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Gigya (Los Angeles, CA) in Feb 2015

      Interview

Received an email for phone interview. Spoke with a young sounding employee that asked me questions about experience, etc... Then did a phone screen with someone who didn't exactly come off as professional. She explained details about the company in depth. Her comments to my responses did not sound sophisticated at all. It seemed like the person was hammering away trying to hear me slip up. After reading some of the reviews for this company, I realized I'm glad that I didn't get the job...

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

1 being intelligent and 10 being hardworking, where you fall? Question doesn't make much sense if you have any knowledge of mathematics, but I said 3 because the more knowledgeable you are, the less you must work...

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Gigya (Mountain View, CA) in Oct 2015

      Interview

The interview started an email from HR to schedule a 25min phone call with the the manager. Next was an interview at the office with the manager, sales team manager and top sales rep. The interview took about 45minutes, which included questions about background experience, goals, and an in-office role play exercise. The exercise consisted of writing an outreach email to an enterprise VP to secure an appointment for a sales demo, as well as making a phone call to secure an appointment with a VP, while handling the objections.

      Difficult interview

      Application

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gigya

      Interview

I applied online and after a week and a half, had not heard anything. I emailed them at the generic jobs email address posted on their website, and someone reached out within a few days. I completed two phone screens, one 18 minutes long and the second took closer to 30 minutes. At the end of the second phone screen, I was told that I should hear within two days about next steps, but was never contacted. Even though I have followed up with the HR Coordinator that scheduled the calls, I have not heard anything.
