As mentioned when we first reached out to you, we did receive a large volume of applications for this role, so did take a different approach to the interview process.
Normally we would move straight to a screening call, but in this instance we did ask the most suitable candidates some basic questions via email and asked them if they would be happy to complete a task that could be then considered alongside their cv. When it comes to Design orientated roles, setting a task does help considerably in understanding someone’s skills and how they apply them commercially. Having agreed to do the test and completing it, we assessed your response and unfortunately it wasn’t as strong as others we had seen, so we didn’t progress further.
Please be assured that the test was not sent out in order for us to collate design concepts and ideas to use, but just as an exercise to demonstrate technical relevance for this role.
