I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Google (Ann Arbor, MI) in Jan 2013
Interview
The process was pretty standard which kind of surprised me given the reputation for Google's interviews. I was contacted by a recruiter about week after I applied and scheduled a phone interview. I went over my resume, why I wanted the job, and was asked to go to second round interview on the phone.
The second round was an onsite interview and the process of setting up travel, etc. was pretty easy. The actual interview was made up of four half-hour interviews with people who worked in or close to the position I was applying for (SMB Account Strategist for Adwords). All the interviewers were very nice and relaxed. I actually remember thinking afterwards that I was unsure whether I had done a good job building a rapport with them or whether they were just incredibly friendly people.
During the interviews, we went over my resume, how it prepared me for the position, examples where I was part of a team, where I displayed leadership, and a few other standards. There were a few personal questions as well, like what my proudest accomplishment was and what a weird quirk about me was.
The recruiter gave me the decision within one business day. I didn't get offer, but it was overall a very positive experience.

Question 1
What is the most complex term in your current field of work? Explain it to me like I'm 5 years old.
the process is very fast. i got 4 rounds of interview within 2 weeks, and got the feedback right after each round of interviews. sometimes its depends on the chemistry between you and the interviewer.
The process is really complicated, questions are really detailed. Need to prepare. Wishing you all huge success! I had 3 rounds and a prep call. Recruiters are really easy going and responsive.
Disorganized recruiting with random meeting invites with no explanations. Interviewer wasn’t welcoming at all and seemed to not care at all about the interview. The feedback call after the interview sounded like recruiter was reading an AI generating summary of the interview, which felt not personal at all. Overall awful experience.
