Sent an email online to a recruiter. I was set up for an interview in less than two days. Interviewed by the GM. Both were nice. My biggest problem was the recruiter. After the interview, I got a call back from the recruiter telling me about how impressed the management was with my skills, but they're trying to "make room"...whatever that means. Talking to me as if they are interested in bringing me on. I was told to hold on until the next week. At that point, however, I didn't believe it and knew I wasn't going to get the job. I've been around for a while and recognize when someone is really trying to hire a candidate. So, I let it play out just for my own curiosity. Well, next week came and no phone call. Towards the end of the week, I followed up via email and was told the position was filled. I have no problem with not getting the job, but why fluff a candidate after the interview if you're truly not interested? No one needs their egos stroked. We're all adults.
