      Frontend Developer Interview

      Dec 11, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Grid Dynamics in Nov 2019

      Interview

Don't waste your time I was contacted by Grid Dynamics company recruiter from Poland to hire for California office. Interview process was strangest i have seen so far. I had initial talk with recruiter, then took Technical interview with 2 guys. Job details was writing they need React, but they mostly asked Angular questions. Other than that interviewers were good. In 2-3 days they come with responce that technical part went good and they want to discuss salary. Here is real mess started. I wrote them my salary expectation and it took them 1 month to come back with result. They wrote couple of times, my expectation is out of their range. I wrote sure, tell me, What's your range? They say we can't write you range. So, it's out of range, but we can't tell you range :)) I guess they wanted me to say 5k annual ?! It was real mess. Also, during this time Company Recruiter said she was ill and waiting for management to respond, asking time for next monday, next monday...etc. I didn't bother and didn't write anything, just waited what will happen. I think they had couple of guys, and they were playing bargain game with all of us. Luckily I have another real offers now, so I don't care at the moment. So my advice, would be stay away from them. Don't waste your time with interview.

      Frontend Developer Interview

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Grid Dynamics (Warsaw, Masovia) in Sep 2024

      Interview

The interview process was disappointing. It felt like the interviewers were assigned the task just 15 minutes beforehand and had to Google "Top 30 JavaScript questions for frontend developers." We started with the classic "Tell us about data types in JavaScript." The React tasks were also quite basic. Implementing a simple debounce function. However, it took around 10 minutes just to set up a working online code editor, which made the whole process feel unprofessional. At that point, I almost wanted to end the interview, but I went through with it for some reason (mistake)

      Question 1

JS data types, make a debounce in react
