RecommendsPositive OutlookI have been working at Grid Dynamics full-time for more than 5 years
Pros
- In general, one has opportunities with work with and learn from high level experts (engineers, architects, SMEs) in areas of AI, data science, big data, search, automation QE, CI/CD. It doesn't mean that it will work in each and every case, but in general you have this opportunity. - In general, one has enough opportunities to work for different customers, business domains, different teams and change the career profile and specialization. - A lot and not the worst relocation opportunities in comparison to other competitors.
Cons
- All the same cons as for any other service/outsourcing company, i.e. you will have a lot of restrictions while working for customers (product companies). If you're more interested in product development and impact product/strategy decision making then service/outsourcing company hardly can satisfy your ambitious. - Internal company structure is changed every 1-1,5 on average. - Company management managed to hire or assign very weird and insufficient people to Director and Senior Manager roles in all departments (Delivery, Engineering, Location, Sales, Marketing, HR, etc.). In all corners of all locations their harmful impact and low performance are being discussed; great or just good enough employees are leaving the company because of being supervised by/working with these "guys".

RecommendsPositive OutlookI worked at Grid Dynamics full-time for more than a year
Pros
I really enjoyed my time at GD. The founders are very decent and very smart people who care deeply about the people that make up the company. Most employees are technically excellent and supports each other: we worked as a team. You need to do your part, but colleagues work together to succeed. A majority of the company is either Russian or from Ukraine , young and male; but I am none of those things and everyone always made me feel right at home, valued, and part of the team.I was always treated with respect. Culturally it's inclusive and people are close knit. The benefits are very good and the salaries competitive. I highly recommend this company. HR is also awesome, they are very responsive and always helpful.
Cons
For logistical reasons , since a large number of employees both offshore and onshore are from Russia /Ukraine, it can be difficult to move up the corporate ladder unless you speak the language. But management is receptive and very interested in rewarding it's employee's and creating opportunities.

RecommendsPositive OutlookNo opinion of CEOI worked at Grid Dynamics full-time for more than 8 years
Pros
* Smart engineers, always ready to help; * variety of different projects: you can grow and build experience in multiple areas; * challenging engineering problems;
Cons
* lack of 'ownership' - most of the projects are vendor/contractor-type of work for GD clients. Sometimes it is hard to feel connected to the work you are doing. * lack of information flow from senior management to an engineering organization.
