Lengthy, time consuming, and disorganized interview process. Overall was a really long vibe check and mostly about who knew you already. Received positive sentiment every step of the way after interviewing for 3+ months. No offer. No valid explanation as to why either.

Interview
I was referred by an entertainment marketing executive who knows the EVP Head of Marketing & Brand Strategy. Five different people interviewed me over the course of nine weeks. After interviewing with all five people, the Director of Social Media decided to add a sample assignment to the requirements. The sample assignment included copywriting for ten social posts, community management responses for eight posts, and two fleshed-out custom content series proposals with talent suggestions and distribution plans. I emailed the Director of Talent Acquisition and told her I'm hesitant to undertake a test assignment that requires creating entirely new work without a guaranteed job offer. She said they understood and to do one-liners for the content series proposals instead. After all of that, I was notified that they chose someone else. Interviewing with all five people separately instead of having some people share calls felt like a waste of time. The addition of a sample assignment asking for net-new work felt predatory and disrespectful. The experience left a sour taste in my mouth when it comes to this company, which is really unfortunate since I still work in the entertainment/comedy space.

Question 1
They wanted my suggestions on how to improve Hartbeat and Lol Networks' social presence.

Interview
Process was not difficult but they were really slow to respond at every stage of the process. Apply online and have call with HR and recruitment team, just a traditional background screening call. Then have zoom interviews with the Accounting team and VP of Finance that were mainly just about explaining background and interest in the role.
