The experience was disorganized, extremely disrespectful of candidates’ time, and a negative reflection on Harvey as a company.
I was contacted by a recruiter to schedule an initial interview. They rescheduled the interview the morning it was supposed to take place, and I adjusted my schedule to accommodate a new time the following week.
When the interview finally happened, it quickly became apparent the recruiter was unfamiliar with my background and had not reviewed my resume beforehand. They noted my state location and informed me they could not hire in my state. I was then asked whether I would relocate (in order to continue the conversation).
At no point before the interview was this raised, despite my state being clearly listed on both my resume and application materials for a role advertised as "remote within the United States."
It is difficult to understand how basic eligibility criteria were not reviewed before scheduling interviews and asking candidates to invest time preparing.
