I scheduled an interview after receiving an email of expressed interest, received a confirmation of the interview time with a message that I would receive a call from their HR person and...never called! Don't waste your time with this company if they're not going to respect yours.
- Can we call you at 4:30? And then didnt!

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at HCA Healthcare (Murray, UT) in Dec 2023
Interview process was very easy. I felt super comfortable walking into the space. There was 4 interviewers that was the ER Managers, and two nurses that run committees. I did my capstone in the ER here as well. I was offered the job on the spot.
- Tell me about a time that hit you hard while doing your capstone. Tell me about a time when you felt like you knew you were going into the right field. Tell me about a time you had a difficult patient and how you handled it.

Interview was very conversational and relaxed. We spent more time talking about the role & our previous experiences in that specific speciality. The manager was very friendly & approachable which made the interview less nerve-wracking
- Why do you want to work here

Online Application, Phone call from recruiter, in-person interview, Offer on the spot. Lack of communication from HR and onboarding. The interview is straightforward, they'll ask you you discuss your resume and experience.
- Why did you choose HCA

Relatively easy, not behavioral but more of a conversation which was a plus. There was not a technical interview either, but the team was relatively new so that may be why.
- Tell me why you are looking for a new position

Several interviews with co workers and staff. All except the final interview was on WebEx. Had 5 interviews in total and there wasn’t a standard format. Just kind of chatted with the people on the interview.
- How do you handle difficult situations

The interview went good but the communication in the Ed department is terrible after the interview I never heard back like they told me I would i thought the interview was good she told me I would hear back mid week and it’s been 3 weeks since then I feel all companies should reach back out rather it’s in a email or via phone to say we have decided to move forward with another candidate
- They asked me why did I have so many jobs and I only ever had 3

I applied online. I interviewed at HCA Healthcare (Austin, TX) in Nov 2023
Quick phone interview with an absolutely lovely & professional lady today. Quick rundown on the position. Advertised as a “Maintenance Manager” position. Position is actually for a maintenance technician with no subordinate staff or vehicle. While the employment expectations are not unrealistic, I’ve seen this type of employment before. You end up using your own vehicle & wait for reimbursement of mileage. Being you are “management”, you are a salaried employee and ineligible for overtime. I understand this type of employment effectively separates some liabilities to the company but anybody who takes this employment is effectively carrying those burdens and risks working excessive overtime without proper compensation. I stopped the interview as soon as the “lay of the land”was visible.

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Denver, CO
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at HCA Healthcare (Denver, CO) in Nov 2023
The interview was super laid back. The manager seemed really engaged. I was expecting way more questions, but it ended up being mostly small talk. I was offered a position, but I'm still considering my options because the salary is not competitive.
- What do you enjoy about being a nurse?
