Here maps is a good company and I decided to apply for the company after hearing good reviews from a friend who got interviewed over there recently. Unfortunately, this friend did not get selected but the company review was positive based on the questions asked and the overall behavior. I went in with very high expectations which were sadly shattered. The HR was very casual and laid back. The HR communication isn't very professional and it takes a lot of time for them to reply back and set up the interview. The HR was very supportive when it came to rescheduling the interview to another day. I was interviewed by two software professionals and the questions were mostly were "Do you know" types. The subject ranged from Spring to Spring MVC to Core Java. There was a point in the interview where I was told to draw the hierarchy of the Collection framework and the Exception Tree. There were some architectural and design questions which were based on my current and past projects but it was very limited. The questions were mostly which would be asked for a fresher or in a written test and not exactly for a person who is nearing 6 years of professional experience. My opinion from the interview process at Here is that it was really low level. After the interview, the HR did not bother to tell me when I would be getting the feedback. After 4 days, I get a very very generic mail from an another HR and not the HR personnel that I interacted before the interview. The mail stated that they cannot proceed with the candidature but did not list what was expected and how did I fail to meet those expectations.
