Interview
Online interview in two parts; HR behavioural and Engineering technical. The behavioural interview was conducted by a HR representative and lasted approximately 30 minutes. This consisted of typical ‘situation’ style questions such as ‘Describe a time when you have had to work collaboratively with other teams to solve a problem’. The Technical interview lasted approximately 45 minutes and was carried out by the hiring manager and one of the team members in a similar role to the vacancy. The questions were a mixture of generic understanding of technical areas and how you approach example problems or tasks.

Interview
Very mysterious, a very long vetting form, the site is located in the middle of nowhere.
Welcomed with a cup of tea.
I had a long pre-interview with an HR officer. Asked me loads of questions about my past present and future.
Main interview was with 2 managers and a HR generalist who was taking down notes.
A very intimidating experience. They didn't like my no-nonsense approach to dealing with problems on the shop floor or with employees who were not shifting their weight.
