Typical process, consisting of online exercises followed by assessment centre. AC was quite relaxed overall, done via Zoom in a group with other candidates, though the actual interviews/case studies were all done individually in breakout rooms.
Questions were strength, technical and
motivational-based, and they make it feel as if there is no wrong answer, which was nice. Received offer 3 days after AC.

Why HSBC? Why work in tech in the financial industry? Do you prefer to discuss with those who agree or disagree with you and why? What are the threats and opportunities facing HSBC with the rise of fintech?
Well structured and relevant to the scheme. Virtual assessment centre consisted of three interviews and activities which had to be discussed with the interviewers thereafter. Topics included motivation, strengths and technical questions.

assessment center was very chilled. It was split into three sections, In each section they would ask 4/5 motivational questions, and then give you some data where you would have 6 mins to analyse it and present your findings.
