Haulio interview questions

I applied online through Linkedin. The hiring manager responded and scheduled for the first interview in a couple of days. The first interview felt good and the hiring manager was enthusiastic about my profile and skillset. I did find it funny that there was no recruiter screening call prior to discuss semantics and expected salary. I decided to go for an optional design challenge as I thought it would help me stand out. Sadly, what transpired after the challenge is definitely disappointing. The hiring manager only got back to me on feedback on the assignment after some follow-up, with no clear next steps if I've passed or been rejected. I waited for another 2 weeks and sent a followup, only to be told they've proceeded with other candidates. I definitely understand it is a competitive market but really would have appreciated at least an automated rejection email so there is closure to move on to the next opportunity. Especially disappointing after considerable effort on the assignment.

The interview falls into 3 stages. The first stage is conducted by the management (CPO) to find out about my interest in the company, my working experience, as well as a discussion to understand the industry better. Followed by the second stage which is a technical test to assess my skillset and experience in software development. Lastly, is another interview round with the Engineering Team Lead and CTO to discuss my relevant experiences in software development, technologies used as well as challenges faced and how I solved it.
