Not only was the hiring manager late for the interview but this job posting has been up since February 2019- it's been a full year later and they STILL HAVEN'T HIRED SOMEONE.
Here's some advice: lower your standards. Take a chance on someone and if it doesn't workout out within probation time, find someone else! Maybe also give examples of situations you encounter weekly and ask how we would react to it? Your interview process felt like a rundown of my resume- something you could have done on your own time instead of just having me recap it for you. Had you actually prepared for the interview you would have actually hired someone by now.
Also the least you can do, is actually give your candidate a full hour minimum to get to know them, instead of coming off as some kind of time nazi. If you can't make the time for your candidate, will you do even help your future employee thrive under proper nurturing and leadership?
You can't just expect someone to be perfect- you actually need to onboard them so they can learn your tricks to replicate what you currently do
At least your pay range was good (approx 72-75k) but it takes two to tango and money isn't everything.
