I applied online. I interviewed at Health Standards Organization (Toronto, ON) in Jun 2026
Interview
Initial screening call followed by a skills test. The initial screening was very positive and their talent acquisition specialist was very personable but you could tell he'd been put in a difficult situation and was unable to answer a lot of questions about the role. The skills test was primarily focused on graphic designs skills which struck me as strange, The talent acquisition specialist was able to tell me that the majority of the role was actually devoted to designing powerpoint presentations and not in driving comms strategy, as I had thought when applying.

Interview process included an introductory call, which was then screened by the hiring team. If the hiring team felt that your skills and experience aligned with the requirements of the role, a virtual team interview was then scheduled with 3 other individuals (45 mins - 1 hr). Next was a written assessment, which was scheduled for the following morning and only allowed for 24 hours completion.

The process began with an initial HR call, followed by a technical interview where I shared detailed insights into the hands-on projects. I was kind of informed to wait for the next round, but after following up, I was notified of the rejection.
