I applied online. I interviewed at Health iQ (UK) (Bournemouth, England) in Jun 2024
Interview
My recent interview with HealthIQ was one of the most unprofessional and upsetting experiences I've encountered in my career. I feel compelled to share the details to warn others about the shocking behaviour of this company.
The feedback I received was not only unhelpful but downright insulting. It was clear that the feedback was more interested in tearing me down than providing any constructive criticism. The comments about my communication style were brutally dismissive and seemed designed to belittle rather than assist.
The feedback felt like a personal attack rather than a professional assessment.
It was glaringly obvious that one of the interviewers struggled with basic communication, making frequent mistakes throughout the interview. Despite this, the feedback was inexplicably fixated on my supposed communication issues. This double standard is not just unprofessional—it’s outright absurd.
The response to my disclosure of disability was shockingly insensitive. My condition seemed to be used as a convenient excuse for the harsh feedback rather than being approached with the understanding and empathy that it warranted. The dismissive tone and lack of support were appalling, making it clear that the company has little regard for the challenges faced by individuals with mental health conditions.
This entire process was a disgrace and demonstrated a staggering level of incompetence and insensitivity. The feedback was not only un-constructive but also seemed to reflect a deep-seated bias and lack of respect. It clearly fails to uphold basic standards of fairness, professionalism, and human decency.
I strongly caution anyone considering applying. The interview process here is not just flawed; it’s an affront to basic principles of respectful and professional interaction. Avoid this company if you value a fair and respectful hiring process.
