An external recruiter contacted me about HealthTap. The company moved directly to an on-site interview after I indicated to the recruiter that I was interested.
I was interviewed by four people: two mobile developers, the VP of engineering and the CEO. All of them asked me about my background and previous experience. The mobile developers gave me coding exercises while the others asked the "classic" questions, such as my salary expectations and my reasons for wanting the job.
Of note is that the company was having a St. Patrick's Day happy hour and treated me to a slice of cake. That made me feel like a part of the family even though I was merely an interviewee. Though I ultimately didn't get the offer, the interview was a great experience.
