I applied online. I interviewed at Heart Corporation in Oct 2025
Interview
Not recommended for experienced teachers.
You get interviewed by a very young recruiter who has no teaching exprience. There is a pre-interview video where they go over their steps and they will follow it to the letter. If you try and point out that the thing they want you to do in your interview is not actually effective pedagogy or would need to be modified in a real classroom they get very defensive and insist that this is the way it is done in Japan. I think this job is really just for people who have never taught before and have no real teaching style preference of their own. Typical ESL company, throws in inexperienced teachers and probably wonders why it is ineffective.

Interview
The interview is straightforward. You just have to speak louder, be confident, and be yourself. No need to say fancy words. Make it simple and understandable when you answer questions. Mostly common questions and they'll ask you to read a short story. Make it clear when you read.
