Heroic Public Speaking interview questions

It was a screening interview and it was a very casual conversation. This interview was postponed for two weeks by the interviewer. I thought the interview went well until the end when I was told they were very close to hiring someone else for the role. I was told that I would be considered for another role and I would be contacted either way the following week to let me know. It's been more than a month and I haven't heard from them. I was told in my initial email, "We'll show you respect and appreciation throughout the process." However, respect and appreciation is not what I feel after being interviewed by this company.
