I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Hollister Co. (Exeter, England) in Dec 2014
Interview
I was approached in store and told to apply online, a little while later I had a group interview. There were only three of us but it was very delayed so they made us wait in the store until they were ready. When the manager came down she took us upstairs into what seemed to be the store room, and we had to sit on the floor in the corridor. We could see next door there was a table with no one sat on it so I don't really understand why this was necessary. The interview was pretty simple, but then if they hire on looks I don't think it really matters what you say.
One thing I did find weird was that they made us say to each other: 'Hey, whats up?' - I totally get that they make all of their employees say this to every customer that walks in but I found it quite uncomfortable to have to do during an interview.
I didn't get an offer but if I had I would not have accepted it. The staff, including management, came across as very condescending and to me was not the kind of environment I wanted to work in.

Interview
It was a pre recorded interview with an option for the applicant to record their video responses to the questions. There were about 8 to 10 questions. You could only add one response per question and there was a time limit too.
It was a group interview with a handful of candidates in the stock section at the back of the store. A assistant manager conducted the interview and asked everyone a series of questions.
Online application and then after many weeks receieved a virtual interview request. I was able to find the questions on Reddit and they were the exact ones. A pre recorded video would ask the questions, count down from three and then you'd have only 2 minutes to reply. No time to think, or re record if you mess up.
