I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Home Instead (Hillsboro, OR) in Dec 2018
Interview
Very welcoming, easy to get hired with a clean record. They do call and check references. Lots of time spent nailing down your work availability. Drug test will be administered.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Home Instead (Fort Collins, CO) in May 2026
Interview
They were very organized. I applied online, then was sent an email and text reminders of the upcoming interview. Once in the interview, I was asked about what integrity means to me, level of care that I have experience with, and several other questions based on experience, strengths and weaknesses. The office is very nice and clean. I was offered the job in the interview. They send you a checklist of all the papers you need to bring in, so make sure you do that! It makes the process go by faster and easier. They did do an oral swab drug test but I was told that they don't test for THC since Colorado is a legal state but if found smoking or consuming THC on the job you would be fired.
It was pretty standard. Phone interview first they ask a couple of questions like "why were you interested in Home Instead?" After that you schedule an in person interview. I was told immediately after the in person interview that was hired.
