Interview
Zoom group interview (1 round) completed. Focused entirely on discussing past projects. Smooth experience overall, though sharing the floor with other candidates required balancing concise answers with standing out effectively.

Interview
During the interview, a large portion of the discussion focused on explaining how demanding and operationally intensive the role was. I appreciated the transparency, and because of how the conversation was framed, I genuinely got the impression that the team was open to hiring someone with transferable operational experience and willing to groom/train the person into the role over time.
The director even encouraged me to take some time to seriously think about whether I wanted to proceed due to the operational demands and standby expectations. Naturally, I interpreted this as the organisation being open to developing candidates who may not already tick every single box from day one.
However, shortly after, I received a rejection through WhatsApp stating they had completed their evaluation. That honestly made the whole process feel misleading and disappointing, especially after being led to believe there was still room for consideration and growth potential.
I fully accept constructive feedback given during the interview, including clarifying internship vs full-time experience more clearly on my resume. But overall, the experience left me feeling that the organisation speaks a lot about progression and development, while in reality appearing to prioritise near-perfect fits immediately.
As a local graduate already working full-time and trying to progress beyond support-level roles, the process felt discouraging rather than developmental.
