I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Hopper (New York, NY) in Sep 2021
Interview
Initial interview with Hiring Manager. Covered the resume. Why Hopper.
Second interview was again with hiring manager. More in depth behavioral based questions. Nothing out of the ordinary. You
Third interview was a homework assignment and pitch. Homework assignment was easy. Pitch was also nothing crazy but they let you choose something to pitch. want to see how you construct a presentation
4th interview - Interview Day. 1 Product. 1 Analytics. 1 "VP" or Head of Team. This was like 3 hours long. Nothing super difficult. Behavior based questions, some live excel assignments
Really understand their mission statement and culture they put huge emphasis on being a good fit
Last round was the Amazon "Bar Raiser" - I interviewed with someone that was not from my team and was more senior. These were questions very specific to the role for which I was unprepared. If you make it this far make sure you understand 100% the ins and outs of the industry/job

Question 1
Why hopper?
Tell me about a time you had to sell a client when they weren't interested?
Why would our partners not want to work with us?
Tell me about how you've worked in cross functional teams?
I applied online. I interviewed at Hopper in Mar 2021
Interview
First phone call was not a screening. Very situational and behavior based. They skipped right over my background or why I even applied. I was then sent a 2 part assignment. The first a list of questions - “if you were to suggest 3 strategic initiatives to our Board of Directors to drive growth, what would they be?”. Nice try Hopper. Thats my intellectual property and I’m not going to do your job for you. Several other use cases designed to basically tell them how to run their business. No way.
