Talked to CEO first, giving a rundown of the company's operations. Then had a more technical interview - they want to see how you think. Slight unenthusiasm from the interviewers, made the process very one-sided.

What interests you about working in this industry?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HotelMap (London, England) in Sep 2025
Interview
They messaged me about the role; had an informal chat with one of the bosses. Second stage with potential line manager. Both were nice, friendly and enthusiastic. I was given a take-home task to spend a few hours on and was told it would be followed by a debrief/chat about the task with another member of the team, then a follow-up with the CEO. Was ghosted after doing the task.

Take-home task was to write an API for estimating travel time from hotels to conference venues.
I applied online. I interviewed at HotelMap (London, England) in Jan 2025
Interview
I recently interviewed for the Customer Success Partner role at Hotel Map, and the process was refreshingly clear and straightforward, taking just a week. Chris from HR was incredibly kind and supportive, and Magnus, the VP of Customer Success, was equally impressive—patient, professional, and always willing to explain, while maintaining a warm and approachable demeanor.
What stood out the most was their willingness to provide honest feedback. This is something I’ve learned not to take for granted, as in previous experiences, I often had to request feedback and rarely received anything meaningful.
Although I didn’t get the job, I’m genuinely grateful for the experience and the opportunity to learn more about Hotel Map’s product. I’ll definitely be booking my hotels through event organizers’ sites from now on!
A huge thank you to the team, and I truly wish more companies had people like them. Wishing you all the best!
