Each individuals are different, their objectives and priorities are different so need to listen to them and understand their needs and work towards them. No false promises, be honest with them and make clear to them why we are here and how we can help each other and create win-win situation for them and project. Clearly document and convey what are your expectations from them and how they can work towards meeting the expectations. Discuss and come up with their career growth plan, and review it with them every quarter and give honest feedback so that they can work towards improving those gaps. Most important things is to listen to them fully, understand their problems and work towards solving their problems. Then rest all will fall in place.
