While it took a little while longer than expected for the initial call-back after applying, the interview process was very straightforward and fast. First, there was a quick phone screen with the hiring manager for the position I had applied for. He asked a few simple questions about my background and reason for attempting a career change. It was very brief, maybe 3-4 minutes at the most. At the conclusion of the phone interview, We set a date/time to interview at the main office. The in-person interview was very conversational, which made it feel authentic. We discussed the position and the department's vision for growing the role, which to me, was a great sign of available career development opportunities, We talked about my background a little more in depth, what my career goals were, and how they may fit into the organization. To me, this was another sign of potential career development opportunities. Later in the afternoon, I received a phone call offer for the position and accepted.
