They were recruiting for another employer. They asked me to do an assignment from scratch using Sequel and Sinatra. They don't want us to use any ready-made solutions available like devise.
The assignment requirements are meticulously written like how the secrets should be secured and how the entire application setup should be automated using Docker, etc.
The problem is they don't get back to us within a good time period. The recruiter sits in the middle that blocks seamless communication with the one who reviews the assignment.
Even if one aspect of the assignment is not done, they don't consider it, which is a very immature way of reviewing an assignment IMHO. For example, I have clearly mentioned the steps that need to be done to run the app using docker compose, but the one who reviewed the assignment didn't want to run anything more than `docker compose up`. Despite fixing all the minor shortcomings, they didn't get back to me on time.
I wouldn't recommend considering them unless you get an option to directly talk with the one who reviews the assignment. We cannot sit and hope that they will come back after putting in so much effort into the assignment.
