IDEMIA Machine Learning Engineer interview questions

I interviewed with Idemia Canada in June 2024 and had a very disappointing experience. In addition to interview, they asked me to complete full end-to-end project covering both backend and frontend, along with a detailed usage report for the code. After submitting everything, I received no response. When I followed up, I was told they had hired another candidate. Recently, I learned that the other candidate went through the same process, also completed the project, and also was not hired, despite being told the role was filled by someone else. The whole process felt like a scam, as if the company was using interviewees to complete real projects for free under the guise of an interview. It was a complete waste of time and effort. I would strongly advise others to be very cautious when interviewing here.
