A recruiter reached out to schedule a phone screen and then ghosted me. I emailed her immediately after our scheduled time and rescheduled the interview through the recruiter's Calendly link. Two hours before the second try, I got a cancellation notice from Calendly. There was no explanation or anything from the recruiter to follow. I spent the entire weekend preparing instead of applying to other jobs only for the recruiter to just not show up. If they decided to move forward with other candidates that's fine, even though I was extended an opportunity for a phone screen and never could complete it. However, the recruiter should have told me instead of ghosting. I don't want to work for a company that ghosts candidates at their interview. They don't take my time seriously as a candidate, so I can't imagine the disrespect employees receive.
