I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at IXL Learning (San Mateo, CA) in Oct 2024
Interview
Phone screening followed by a ~3 hour interview with 4-5 different interviewers.
After 2 weeks of waiting, i ultimately received a rejection email and was denied any feedback after asking for specific feedback.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Q: Tell us a time where you were faced with a problem; how did you solve it and what did it teach you?
Talked with recruiter for five minutes, questions were vague and annoying and I couldn’t tell you what she was looking for except perhaps to sell myself as someone super experienced
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at IXL Learning in Feb 2024
Interview
Applied online and two weeks later was contacted by recruiter over the phone, followed by interview with hiring manager also on phone. Both were very straightforward and had standard interview questions like why you're interested in the role, what your past experiences were like, what you know about the company, why you're interested in edtech, what were past projects were you most proud of, etc. It also helps if you research some of their products and services offered beforehand. I liked how the hiring team stayed communicative throughout the entire process. However, I had a final onsite interview scheduled a week in advance but was canceled the day before because they reviewed resumes and simply found I wasn't a fit. That was the only part of the process that disappointed me because I wasted a whole week preparing and seemingly got good feedback.
