      Java Developer Interview

      Jun 27, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Lucknow
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Icreon (Lucknow) in Jun 2019

      Interview

They came to our city to interview for Java Developers and surprisingly my experience came out to be very funny. I was called at 10 I reached on time and waited for around 1 hour for the interview to begin and when my turn came there were three panels of which I was sent to one with a man who looked middle aged and experienced who asked me questions which were not based on my skills I answered which I knew and the funniest part was I was there for a development post and he didn't ask a single coding question. Finally he asked me any questions to which I replied yes I would like to know my role and the team I will be working him to which he mockingly replied development... What ? I mean the post was for development obviously I would be there for merry making.. The interviewer himself was not clear about the job profile he was offering.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Icreon (Noida) in Nov 2024

      Interview

My interview experience with this company was less than satisfactory, and I wanted to share the details for others to be aware. Screening Round: The first round was a screening round with a Director. The questions were mostly basic and focused on OOP concepts and collections. It was a standard interview to check if you have the necessary technical fundamentals. Nothing too difficult, but it was clear they were testing for basic proficiency. Technical Round: After clearing the screening, I moved on to the technical round. The interviewer asked questions from various areas, including: SQL, with a focus on joins. Core Java, including questions on OOP principles. Collections (List, Set, Map, etc.). Arrays, Strings, Generics, and Streams in Java. Spring Boot (specifically about annotations). Java 8 features. Hibernate and related concepts. The interview lasted around 40 minutes to an hour. The questions were fairly technical and covered a broad range of topics, so you’ll need to be well-prepared across these areas. Post-Interview Experience: After completing the interview, I never received any feedback. I tried repeatedly to get in touch with the recruiter, but every time I reached out, I was told, “I have not received your feedback yet.” This went on for several days. I started to get frustrated, as I was expecting at least some clarity after the interview. To be honest, it was really unprofessional. If they weren't planning to move forward with my application, they could have simply informed me directly, instead of keeping me waiting with no communication. It felt like they were playing a "hide and seek" game. I understand that companies get busy, but leaving candidates hanging without any updates after the interview is completely disrespectful. Conclusion: My overall experience was disappointing. The interview process itself was decent, but the lack of feedback and communication afterwards made the entire experience frustrating. If you're considering interviewing with this company, please be aware that even if you do well in the interview, you might be left in the dark with no follow-up or closure. It's disappointing that they waste your time and don’t show basic courtesy. Advice: I would recommend that you be cautious before investing your time in interviews with this company. Communication and transparency are key in any recruitment process, and unfortunately, this company failed on that front.
