The interview ~30 minute phone interview, followed by a 3 hour panel interview with the manager/team (30 minute increments of 2 interviewers at a time) ~2 weeks later. There were 1 other person interviewing for the same position the day of my interview (in a separate conference room), and ~5 other candidates total. I received a phone call ~1 week after the interview with a job offer.

First interview with HR, 30 min. Just first contact to check if you fit and find out why you want to join Illumina, availabilities, etc. A second interview with three senior scientists. Discussion about my scientific projects, previous employment, SBS and how familiar I was with Python. It was a bit complicated to ask them specific questions about the role after the interview, as they finished it sharply after 30 min.
