They were looking for a person that is highly skilled and has experienced being a research assistant. It was a difficult interview process as the interviewers did not provide any background information about the position, their current projects, and their day-to-day expectations. Interviews that provide those information makes it easier to have a conversation with the interviewers. From my experience through the interview process, they were looking for people with solid skill sets so it could potentially mean that they were not willing to provide extensive training.
