      Network Field Engineer Interview

      Jul 25, 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Lake Forest, IL
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Impact Networking (Lake Forest, IL) in Jul 2018

      Interview

Technical recruiter at Impact Networking reached out to me via email and set up an initial phone screening to discuss my experience and how it pertains to the position. Once we established that I could potentially be a good fit, we scheduled an on-site interview for later that week. I traveled up to their corporate headquarters in Lake Forest and met with the Director of Projects and Service. We discussed my previous experience, my strengths/weaknesses, and what my career goals for the future are. I was then required to take a skills assessment so that he could get a better understanding of my technical skill set. Afterwards we had a brief discussion about his initial thoughts, next steps. etc. I received a call the following day asking if I could come in the following week to meet with the same Director as well as the Vice President of Managed IT Services. We once again discussed my previous experience and their expectations for the position. The meeting wrapped up with an official offer letter from Impact. The overall interview process was pleasant, professional and fair. I felt like the questions asked were insightful and done so with the intention of confirming that I would be a good fit. I also felt like the technical assessment was a fair and accurate representation of my technical acumen and skill set. I could not have asked for a better interview experience and I am very excited to begin my career with Impact Networking!
