Interview
They are really nice people just a small nonprofit with basic drawbacks with the overall interview process. It was spread over 8-10 weeks from start to finish. A long process with repetitive questions and redundant interviews with the same set of people over 3-4 times. They need either a more direct approach or a more suitable process that respects the interviewee's time. I understand small nonprofits have lesser capacity but being mindful of the takeaways from each step will help both the company and the candidate save time. I could tell after the second round whether I was a good fit or not. The 3rd and 4th rounds seemed unnecessary.
I have great respect for what the company does! They were a really cool set of people. You don't need an HR team for a more effective hiring process. The person hired had worked with them as an intern before and was a local LA resident which I am not.
