Anonymous Interview Candidate

Tedious, pretty complex and time consuming. Not enough time given to prepare a presentation. Expect too much out of the candidate. Not a two way interview. Pretty daunting for a low level role.
- How would you market events to the target audience?

Initial Screening: Many companies begin the process with an initial screening, which may involve a phone or video interview. The purpose of this stage is to assess your qualifications, experience, and fit for the role. The interviewer may ask questions about your background, skills, and interest in the position.

Called me to convinced me to do a task as I was "near a job offer". They did the same with over 100 candidates to get the entire software re-designed for free by the candidates.
- You are near a job offer please do the task.

The interview was fair and was a general overview of my interest in the role and my previous experience. There were opportunities for me to ask about what the role would entail.
- Why are you interested in this role?

I say the interview difficulty was 'average' purely because the main person interviewing me essentially took interview questions from a Stefan Wolpers scrum master questions guide. I've found scrum master interviews are along two lines, either: - They presume you know all the fluffy agile lingo and want to hear about exactly how you yourself facilitate the whole delivery process OR - They've got easy stakeholders so they dwell on the fluffy touchy-feely side of agile. This was the latter.
- Examples include: - Elevator pitch e.g. Explain agile in 10 seconds to a non-agile person. - How are you emotionally intelligent. - What metrics do you use.

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Denver, CO
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Informa (Denver, CO) in May 2023
It was a rollercoaster experience and not the fun kind. The job I applied for did not have salary transparency. So in my application when asked what my salary expectations are, I stated that I would like to know what range Informa had approved for this position. This caused me to get an automatic rejection which was then retracted when the internal recruiter realized I had a referral and reached out for an interview. That was my introduction to Informa and while I didn't love it, I was still really interested in the position and went ahead with the interview. During the interview we went over my experience, he asked questions, I asked questions. It was a pretty standard first interview. At the end of every interview I like to ask the interviewer if they have any hesitations about me joining the team or proceeding with the interview process. His response was that he did not have any hesitations, he thought I would be a great fit for the company, and my experience lined up with what they were looking for. He said I would hear from him later that day or the next (at the latest) to set up the next interview. He even said he was going to forward me an email from the head of design regarding why another candidate didn't make it through the testing round, which I thought was a bit strange. I sent an email thanking him for his time and heard nothing for 4 days at which point I followed up. Nothing for another 2 days so I followed up again. Then, one week later I received an AUTOMATED email telling me they would not be moving forward with my application. After things went so well and I was told I was getting a second interview, the last thing I expected was a rejection email, and I certainly didn't expect one with zero personalization or explanation. I can honestly say it was one of the most confusing processes I've experienced.
- How much experience do you have with A/B testing and usability testing?

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Singapore
I applied online. I interviewed at Informa (Singapore) in Apr 2023
Recruiter call felt rushed; did not want to entertain questions. They didn't know anything about the role and they just wanted to get a salary quote from the candidate. (Max salary offered was a mere 4.5k/month, no bonuses, poor benefits) 2nd interview was with hiring manager and their boss; both felt unfriendly and it really wasn't a good culture fit.
- - Are you willing to work in the office and thoughts on overtime/being contacted outside of working hours - Current employment laws (they tried to trip me up by asking about fake laws - tip: make sure to ask them for context or where they saw the "update")
