Interview
Great conversation with a recruiter in Knoxville. Set clear expectations on the role and the state of the company. Asked good questions that demonstrated he knew how to fill the role. Asked upfront questions that many recruiters wait too long to ask. Explained the interviewing process and next steps and included themselves in the process as a resource that will guide things along and be available for follow-up questions.

Question 1
Explain prior roles and management style where you coached & mentored team members.
The recruiter wasn’t honest throughout the process. While I didn’t think the interview went horribly, I’ve since been ghosted without any feedback. Unfortunately, this seems to be happening more and more with companies and recruiters, and it’s extremely disrespectful to candidates who take the time to prepare and engage.
Given the company’s already low rating, I’m not surprised. First impressions matter, and the recruiter is often the first person a candidate interacts with—if that experience is dismissive or misleading, it sets a very negative tone for the entire organization.

Interview
Quick interviewing and hiring process with a lot of room for significant error down the line. Random "philosophical questions" are also part of the interview. This is the most unprofessional interview I have had, period. I do not recall her name but toward the end of the interview, I felt like it would not be a great experience if her involvement were included. One answer I gave as to why I work other than a check was in regard to my 2 daughters, she found that offensive and improper. Good luck if you do end up with them, but plenty of options are out there.
